A Message from the SterlingFest Chair
Dear Sterling Neighbor,
As a valuable member of our community, we would like to extend an invitation to be a part of our 33rd annual SterlingFest celebration on October 10, 2020.
SterlingFest is hosted by the Sterling Foundation and funds raised will support our work to strengthen and beautify our hometown community. In addition, a portion of the proceeds will benefit our friends at the Sterling Community Center Advisory Board and the Sterling Playmakers.
Come rain or shine, SterlingFest fosters community pride and promotes growth by bringing local neighborhoods and businesses together for a day of fun and festivity. We are looking for local businesses and organizations to help us make this event truly special for our hometown and greater Loudoun County.
Last year’s SterlingFest was attended by thousands of people from Sterling and the surrounding areas. The festival highlights the best of Sterling businesses, civic organizations, charities, and local artisans. It provides entertainment by local artists, offers a taste of local cuisine, and showcases drinks from local breweries and wineries. There’s always plenty of family fun to be had, with a petting zoo, children’s games, raffles, and so much more. SterlingFest is also a wonderful opportunity for our neighbors to learn about area schools, community service organizations, government services, and so many other local groups working to make a difference in our hometown. We believe that SterlingFest presents a unique opportunity for your organization to connect directly with local clientele, while reinforcing your reputation as an organization that cares about its local community.
We hope you decide to join us and other leading businesses by supporting our efforts to continually strengthen and beautify Sterling. Attached is the 33rd Annual SterlingFest sponsorship registration package with details about various Sponsorship options.
Thank you for your consideration! If you have any questions, please call or text me at 703-887-2249, or email me at Sponsorship@SterlingFest.
Sincerely,
Rebecca Fanning
SterlingFest Chair

Sponsorship Rules
- Payment must accompany your application to be seriously considered for our event.
- Applications will be accepted thru September 1, 2020. After that date, applications will be subject to a late fee of $30. Late applications may not receive total number of listed social media posts.
- No refunds will be given after Sept 1, 2020. Additionally, no refunds will be given after the publication of promised advertising, either on the Sterling Foundation website or its social media accounts.
- Returned checks incur a $30 fee.
- This is an outdoor event and will be held rain or shine, so plan accordingly.
- Timing of social media post publication will be at the sole discretion of the Sterling Foundation. Posts may be made in conjunction with the mention of additional sponsors. If you wish to be tagged in social media posts, please be certain to include links to your various accounts.
- Logos used for promotional purposes must be delivered via email to Sponsorship@SterlingFoundation.org within one week of application approval, in order to expedite promised advertising goals. Please provide logos in as high a resolution as possible, preferably with a transparent background. Preferred file types are PNG, PSD, TIFF, or AI. JPEG is alright, but not preferred, as it heavily compresses the quality of your logo.
- IF your sponsorship package includes advertisement space in the SterlingFest program, please deliver your advertisement graphics to us no later than September 10, 2020. Please speak with our staff via Sponsorship@SterlingFest.org regarding sizing and image requirements. Preference may be given to sponsors who deliver their advertisements sooner rather than later. Exact placement in the program is at the sole discretion of the Sterling Foundation.
IF your sponsorship package includes complimentary vendor space:
- All confirmation notices of assigned vendor spaces will be delivered by Sept 10, 2020.
- Spaces are 10’x10′ (unless otherwise noted in your sponsorship package), are limited, and will be assigned by SterlingFest staff.
- There is no access to electricity. Generators are only permitted in certain areas and must have prior approval.
- Vendors are required to provide tables, chairs (unless otherwise noted in your sponsorship package), and canopies, with adequate weights to secure canopies.
- Tables can be rented for $5.00 each.
- Vendors/Sponsors must maintain adequate staff at the booth during the entire show.
- Vendors/Sponsors must conduct all business within their assigned space.
- Only one of each direct-sale/home-based company will be allowed, so sign up early!
- Vendors/Sponsors conducting sales are responsible for collecting Virginia sales tax and use taxes on all transactions.
- Food vendors are required to have all necessary permits and health inspections.
- No shows, late arrivals, and those who leave early will not be invited back.
- Participation is at your own risk and you acknowledge that the Sterling Foundation will not be held liable or responsible for any loss, injury, or incident.
- All vendors and sponsors must agree to abide by these rules, respect decisions made by the SterlingFest & Sterling Foundation staff, and heed instructions given on the day of the event. These rules may be amended in future; vendors and sponsors will be notified in writing of any amendments.
- These rules are to ensure a safe and enjoyable event for all!
