Foundation members celebrate community pride, thank local partners, and invite residents to join upcoming neighborhood cleanup events.
The Sterling Foundation served as the grand marshals in the 44th Sterling Columbus Day Parade on Saturday.
The parade began at 10 a.m. and traveled along Sterling Boulevard between W Laurel Avenue and W Holly Avenue.
Crowds filled the sidewalks to cheer for local schools, businesses, and community groups.
The Foundation rode at the front of the parade, following the fire and rescue units and just ahead of the Park View Marching Band. Members waved to neighbors and enjoyed their first experience participating in a parade.
The Foundation thanked Justin of Al’s Towing for driving the flatbed truck and Gam Graphics and Marketing for providing the parade signs. They also thanked Local Mechanical Company, a Silver Sponsor, for supporting the event.
The Sterling Foundation expressed gratitude to the volunteers and organizers who made the parade possible.
The Foundation continues its work to keep Sterling clean and connected through volunteer projects and community events. A neighborhood cleanup is planned for November. Residents can visit the Sterling Foundation website to join or receive updates about future activities.
