We’re waiting on one final number from VDOT for the solid waste weight.
Got the word from VDOT on Cinco de Mayo. For the trash bags and other solid waste:

I got your total of Debris that you guy’s picked up from the stream in sterling it was a Grand total of 10.0 tons
- 55 volunteers!
- 11 from Annapolis-based Johnson Controls
- 17 from PVHS
- 13 from Sterling Foundation
- 14 neighbors, including 8 children
- 2 miles of stream
- 1000 lbs of metal
- 55 bags of trash (part of the 10 tons)
- 22 bags of recycling ~200 lbs
- Additional miscellaneous solid waste (the other part of the 10 tons)
- 4 tires
- 2 TVs
- 18 sports balls (soccer, football, softball – you name it!)
- Part of a 1960s-plated car trailer
- 1 sectional couch
- 1 set of household windows
- 1 mattress
- 3 car batteries
