A New “Main Street” in the Making


    The Sterling Foundation is proud to announce that it has been awarded a $70,000 matching grant for landscaping enhancements along Sterling Boulevard.  The Federal portion covers only 80% of the project cost.  The remainder comes from the community.  Through generous corporate and private cash and in-kind donations, we have amassed $28,500 to further this beautification project. 

Project Highlights

    In 2004 The Sterling Foundation, Inc. became the proud recipient of $70,000 in Federal TEA-21 (Transportation Equity Act of the 21st Century) matching grant funds.  Community contributions of $17,500 enabled this matching award.  The Boulevard enhancement effort coincides with two other major Sterling District projects beginning in 2005:
